Start studying the Arts
Note that A103 started for the last time in February this year. It has been replaced by our new course The arts past and present (AA100) which starts in October 2008 and February 2009.
As well as being intrinsically enjoyable, An Introduction to the Humanities will introduce you to the disciplines and kinds of study that will be required to complete an Arts qualification.
It’s a Level 1 course which means that you don’t need any prior knowledge to begin studying and that you also have extra support to help you get used to the OU way of learning as quickly as possible.
An Introduction to the Humanities will help you to acquire the skills and knowledge to appreciate each of the subjects, develop your study skills and give you the confidence to move on to higher-level courses.
We strongly recommend that all new Arts students begin their studies with an introductory course such as An Introduction to the Humanities (A103/AZX103). Follow this link to find out why.
However, if you want a more gradual introduction to study, why not try a short course? Follow this link to find out more about our short courses.
