Two Gallants
The story opens with the two protagonists (Corley and Lenehan) coming down
Rutland Square.
It goes on to detail the following aspects of their walk: passing
Trinity College,
into
Nassau St,
Kildare St,
Stephen’s Green,
to the corner of
Hume Street,
and then
Merrion Square.
At this point Corley gets onto the tram with the woman in the story and Lenehan is left on his own.
He goes to
Stephen’s Green again,
then down
Grafton St,
Great Britain St (as it was called then, now it’s Parnell St as the text points out),
Rutland Sq,
Capel St, to the city hall,
Dame St,
George’s St,
Grafton St again.
At the corner of
Merrion St, the characters are within sight of each other once more, and the walk becomes repetitive, though Lenehan is following Corley and his female friend.
He continues to do so down
Baggot St, and also
Stephens Green where the 2 men are re-joined.
Ely Place is the final location mentioned, which is (or was) a dead end.
