Sean Crawford, who wrote Aspects of Mind is a philosopher of mind and language, and has interests in the history of philosophy. He has now left the Open University and is currently a lecturer at the University of Manchester.
Carolyn Price, author of Emotion, has research interests in the philosophy of mind. She has recently published articles and chapters about the nature of emotion, about the different between an emotion and a mood, and about grief. As well as working on AA308, she has contributed to AA100 The Arts Past and Present.
Alex Barber, author of Thought and Language researches mainly in the philosophy of language, philosophy of mind and epistemology (the philosophy of knowledge). Alex contributed to A207 From Enlightenment to Romanticism c.1780-1830 and is now working on the Philosophy Department’s next second level course.
Michael Beaney who wrote Imagination and Creativity, has publications in the philosophy of language and logic, and in the history of philosophy. He has now left the Open University to become a professor at the University of York. Among his many research projects, he continues to be interested in the topic of creativity and imagination.
Keith Frankish, author of Consciousness, has been pursuing various research projects in the philosophy of psychology and the philosophy of mind. Currently, he is pursuing two different projects: the first concerns the nature of reasoning and the second is about the ways in which we conceptualise mental illness. As well as AA308, Keith has contributed to the A850 The Postgraduate Foundation Module in Philosophy.
