Hats off: the entry of Tarquinius Priscus into Rome?

A group of late Etruscan funerary urns, formerly identified as Pelops and Hippodameia, is reinterpreted as representing the entry of Tarquinius Priscus into Rome. Particularly important is the salient detail of the cap with the bird on the figure identified as Tarquinius Priscus. The bird has no role in the story of Pelops.
