Etruscan Numismatics: a notorious dating and identification problem
A discussion of the latest theories on the dating of Etruscan coins in gold, silver and bronze, based on published and unpublished finds and parallels with other coinages of central and southern Italy. This is part of a forthcoming die study of all known Etruscan coins made over the last ten years, soon to be published hopefully by this Autumn. An abbreviated but comprehensive summary will be available for the conference in order to stimulate comment and discussion.
