Postgraduate Qualifications

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Humanities (C20)

    This certificate, part of our postgraduate programme in the humanities, is for those who want to develop their research and analytical skills and upgrade their qualifications. It will suit anyone with appropriate entry qualifications who has a passion for the Arts and is looking for an intellectual challenge. The programme is designed to allow you to tailor your qualification to a particular subject interest. At present we offer subject lines in art history, classical studies, history, literature, music and philosophy.

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Music (C38)

    This certificate is for those who want to develop their research and analytical skills and upgrade their qualifications. It will suit anyone with appropriate entry qualification who has a passion for music and is looking for an intellectual challenge.

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Humanities (D35)

    This diploma, part of our postgraduate programme in the humanities, will suit anyone with appropriate entry qualifications who has a passion for the Arts and is looking for an intellectual challenge. It is designed to allow you to tailor your qualification to a particular subject interest. At present we offer subject lines in art history, classical studies, history, literature, music and philosophy.

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Music (E01)

    This diploma is for those who want to develop their research and analytical skills and upgrade their qualifications. It will suit anyone with appropriate entry qualifications who has a passion for music and is looking for an intellectual challenge.

  • MA in Art History (F33)

    This degree is for those who want to develop their research and analytical skills and upgrade their qualifications. It will suit anyone with appropriate entry qualifications who is looking for an intellectual challenge.

  • MA in Classical Studies (F27)

    This degree is for those who want to develop their research and analytical skills and upgrade their qualifications. It will suit anyone with appropriate entry qualifications who has a passion for classical studies and is looking for an intellectual challenge.

  • MA in English (F58)

    If you wish to develop your research and analytical skills and upgrade your qualifications this degree is for you. You need appropriate entry qualifications, and should have a passion for literature and enjoy an intellectual challenge.

  • MA in History (F28)

    This degree will enable you to develop your research and analytical skills and upgrade your qualifications. It will suit you if you have the appropriate entry qualifications, a passion for history and are looking for an intellectual challenge.

  • MA in Humanities (F07)

    This degree is for those who want to develop their research and analytical skills and upgrade their qualifications. It will suit anyone with appropriate entry qualifications who has a passion for the arts and is looking for an intellectual challenge. The programme is designed to allow you to tailor your qualification to a particular subject interest. We also offer subject lines in art history, classical studies, history, literature, music and philosophy.

  • MA in Literature (F29)

    Please note: this qualification is only available to you if you have already passed one of the discontinued postgraduate foundation modules in literature. In addition, several other modules which count towards the current MA in Literature have been discontinued. Consequently the options available for completing the award are limited. See the MA in English for information about new and current modules.

  • MA in Music (F32)

    This degree is for those who want to develop their research and analytical skills and upgrade their qualifications. It will suit anyone with appropriate entry qualifications who has a passion for music and is looking for an intellectual challenge.

  • MA in Philosophy (F30)

    This degree is for those who want to develop their research and analytical skills and upgrade their qualifications. It will suit anyone with appropriate entry qualifications who has a passion for philosophy and is looking for an intellectual challenge.

  • MA in Religious Studies (F57)

    This MA will equip you for higher level study of religion by building on your existing knowledge of, and interest in religion. Using a variety of texts and other materials the course discusses theoretical and methodological issues, utilises case studies of religions in modern Britain and elsewhere, and provides you with appropriate research training. It gives you the opportunity to carry out a substantial piece of independent research on a topic of your choice and to write this up as a dissertation.
