Agdal, Morocco: “Rural Migration : Effects on Moroccan cities”
The objective of this paper is to show how local officials
and elected representants perceive the effects of rural migration
on the the cities; the way this migration affects the cities, as
well as to analyse their view about the new rural profile into the
city and the dialectic between rural and urban. These ideas would
be developped on the basis of a qualitative data that has been collected
through focus groups held in many Moroccan rural and urban areas.
The analysis of a Moroccan local elite would be largely privileged.
