The Faculty of Arts runs a range of short courses at Level 1, which are designed for beginners. It maybe that you might want to try one of these courses first if you find the tasters difficult. For example, Making Sense of the Arts (Y180) is an access level course which aims to prepare students for degree level study. Please note that Making Sense of the Arts is currently only available to students in the UK. Other suitable starting points include short courses like Shakespeare: an introduction (A177) or Start listening to music (A179).
