Why Study Religion Today?

Whatever your occupation or outlook, studying religion should broaden your horizons.

Studying religion shows the various ways in which it has a role in shaping ideas, worldviews and actions that have an impact on politics, economics and culture, as well as on the life of the individual.

Religion arouses passion and causes controversy; it controls and transforms lives - but it doesn't exist in a vacuum. It also has to confront new issues and circumstances brought about by global changes in technology, society and politics.
