A focused project similar to the project that has been initiated in Bulgaria is contemplated in Romania, but is yet to be undertaken. Colleagues from the following Romanian institutions are involved in discussions about this: The University of Bucharest, The Ovidius University of Constanta, The Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, and the Academic Anglophone Society of Romania at the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu. A Leverhulme Trust funded series of workshops in 2008-2009 (see events) will enable colleagues from these universities to interact with colleagues from Bulgarian universities and the Open University to assess the project methods and findings in Bulgaria, and to bring together scholars and academics within Romania to discuss possibilities. Resources will be sought to initiate a focused project in Romania after this consultation and discussion process.
