Has been here 4 times, and is sentenced to seven years' transportation. Knew how to write a little before he came in. Is now learning by heart in the New Testament. "I do not know the meaning of what I repeat." This man repeated five verses perfectly, but when asked the meaning of a simple word, was unable to answer.'
