Reading Experience:

Evidence:

Three months in Asolo had passed in a sort of dream, a little harassed by the floods of people my mother poured over me in my enfeebled state. I had spent long days embroidering in the warm garden, had talked with old friends and met and made new ones, and went - when Asolo grew hot - to a mountain inn with Herbert [Young], who read 'Middlemarch' aloud to me through the afternoons.
