Additional Comments:

Dame Freya Madeline Stark (31 January 1893 - 9 May 1993) was a British explorer and travel writer. T.E. Lawrence was killed in a motor accident in May 1935 and the 1926 abridgement of the 'Seven Pillars' was published for general circulation within weeks of his death. Stark had started reading it in Le Paradou, France, on 13 August 1935. It is likely that the book was owned.
