Gerald Parsons Gerald Parsons studied History and Theology at the University of Wales, Lampeter, and at Cambridge University. Since 1981 he has been, successively, Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Religious Studies at the Open University, where he has chaired the production of undergraduate courses on Religion in Victorian Britain and Religion in Britain since 1945 and, more recently, has contributed to the course Religion Today: Tradition, Modernity and Change and Religion in History: Conflict, Conversion and Coexistence.
