Beyond the Frame project partner the British Library has launched Untold Lives, a new blog sharing stories from the British Library’s collections about people from across the world. It provides fascinating and unusual insights into the past and brings out from the shadows lives that have been overlooked or forgotten. It aims to inspire new research and encourage enjoyment, knowledge and understanding of the British Library and its collections. Stories posted so far have shared little known facts about Napoleon, Sir Hans Sloane, East India Company warehouse labourers in London, kidnapped African princes, a homicidal bookbinder, Indian soldiers in World War I and Indian suffragette Sophia Duleep Singh. The project team continues to contribute to the blog.
