The role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable person to provide secretarial support to the Faculty Research Office in the FASS Deanery, working closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth and efficient support of Faculty research activity.

You will have general administrative experience and a willingness to keep up-to-date with specialist knowledge and skills. You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.  You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills and have high level IT skills.  Experience of taking and producing accurate typed minutes, monitoring budgets and organising events are important aspects of this role.

  • Ability to work under pressure to agreed timescales and within delivery standards.
  • Experience of providing service to internal and external customers such as when dealing with student enquiries.

  • Possessing a working knowledge of The Open University and its objectives.
