Need a new challenge? Come and help us deliver careers and employability services at the Open University in Scotland

Our students’ circumstances vary widely including those with caring responsibilities, from widening participation backgrounds, in prison and with disabilities. You will support students at every career stage.

This is an opportunity to stretch your online delivery skills, develop innovative services including the proactive delivery of online forums and webinars, and develop partnerships with other units in the University and with employers.

You should have a first degree, a professional careers qualification, or equivalent, and proven experience in delivering careers advice and guidance preferably within higher education and in delivering services through online media.

As part of Careers and Employability Services you need to be able to adapt rapidly to change, show initiative and solve problems creatively. An understanding of the needs of adult or distance learners is an advantage.

To apply, please complete the application form and email to resourcing-hub@open.ac.uk and include your CV and covering letter with a maximum of 1,000 words outlining how you meet the criteria in the person specification.  This is an important element of the application process. Please ensure that you provide relevant examples as evidence to support your statements.

Interviews will take place on 29th July.

Please note: If you have not heard from us within a week of the application closing date, please assume that on this occasion you have not been selected for interview, however we thank you for your interest in The Open University and encourage you to apply for future positions.

An application form and job related information are available from the links below.  Details for disabled applicants are available from Resourcing Hub by e-mail resoucing-hub@open.ac.uk
