This is an exciting opportunity to support the operational management of the Open University’s professional programmes for nursing and social work in Scotland. The Team Assistant will provide support to colleagues in the School of Health, Wellbeing and Social Care (HWSC) based in the Faculty of Wellbeing, Education & Language Studies (WELS) at the Open University in Scotland (OUiS).  Working collaboratively with colleagues, the Team Assistant forms a vital link between academics, associate lecturers, students, employers and other external organisations. They take a key role in co-ordinating the work of the HWSC team with that of government and regulatory bodies, public and third sector organisations as well as other Open University colleagues.   

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and adaptable person with excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level IT skills.  You will have general administrative experience and excellent organisational skills, be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. The ability to be able to prioritise competing demands and to remain calm and professional when working under pressure is essential.
