The Open University is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join its Learning Design team, working in partnership with academic experts and colleagues from across the University to lead or facilitate the design and subsequent evaluation of OU qualifications and modules.

You will be experienced in the design of distance learning materials, ideally for higher education, and your personal toolkit will include some knowledge of theories/principles of adult learning, educational technologies and the analysis and presentation of quantitative/qualitative data relating to learning performance.  Equally important will be your people and communication skills, enabling you to successfully engage with stakeholders, elicit academic and student needs and expectations, explain technology options, discuss potential solutions and justify these with data and other evidence.  You will be adept at facilitating workshops, design discussions and influencing decisions that lead to successful learning and student satisfaction
