The role

We are seeking inspiring and innovative teachers and researchers who enjoy developing novel approaches to teaching and working collaboratively with colleagues.  If successful, you will join a team working on transformative new approaches to teaching and learning in networking and communications technologies. You will also have opportunities to contribute to our leadership of the “University Learners” theme of the Institute of Coding (https://instituteofcoding.open.ac.uk/), and complementing the school’s internationally leading research in the field.

Skills and experience  

You will have a PhD or substantial experience in an area related to networking, communications or web technologies. You will have an understanding of educational and study needs of students, together with the ability to work innovatively, adaptively and responsive to multidisciplinary teams.

You will be expected write papers for publication in high quality journals, present findings at conferences, make applications for further funding, and contribute to examination, teaching and materials for students. You will also have good organisational skills and a strong commitment to the aims, ethos and values of the Open University.
