The Open University is a founding partner of the SPRINT (SPace Research and Innovation Network for Technology) programme which is committed to providing innovation support to SMEs by translating the research strengths, facilities and technologies of its space research activities.

We are seeking a Regional Space Innovation Manager to work in a virtual national team exploiting the research capabilities and assets within the SPRINT partner universities. You will be leading the successful delivery of practical innovation support from University partners and will manage and deliver programme outputs and outcomes on time and to budget.

You will have a degree or equivalent qualification in science, engineering, management or business development along with knowledge and experience of working within the UK Space Sector. You will have experience in management, business development and technical expertise for academic/industry collaboration and be able to demonstrate commercial insight and/or business planning and analysis. You will have a broad range of research and technical skills and the ability to deliver collaborative research and development support to businesses. Excellent team working, and communication skills are also essential for this role.
