OU Validation Partnerships

The OU Validation Partnerships team is responsible for providing Open University (OU) institutional approval for a large number of institutions in the UK and worldwide and validation for their academic programmes.

We support one of the largest and varied network of partners (measured by the number of validated students), widening access to our qualifications as well as access to British education among UK and international students, in line with the Open University strategic mission. We recognize that students across our partnerships have different backgrounds and therefore a one-size approach does not fit them all. As a result, our partnership model is flexible offering different solutions tailored to institutions’ experience and ambitions.

The University is seeing considerable growth in validation and we are looking for someone to take responsibility for a group of partner institutions. You will be the principal point of contact, managing the relationship between the OU and a group of institutions on all matters relating to the quality assurance of the University's validated awards. Duties include providing advice and support to institutions, organizing and reporting on institutional approval, validation and review events and servicing committees and working groups and contributing to policy formulation, development and evaluation.

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) with experience in report writing and critical analysis. The job requires excellent inter-personal skills, supportive team-working and a facilitative and patient approach.
