Donations to The Open University directly enable us to widen participation in education
In 2010-11, we received donations to the value of £628,000, which means the dream of an education has at last become a reality for many people stepping on to the learning ladder for the first time; while others on the point of giving up their studies have been able to carry on.
Donations also contributed towards a number of innovative projects ranging from international development work to community partnerships, and cover academic areas as diverse as climate change, social cohesion, Gaelic culture and leadership skills. You can read further information about how we use donations by downloading our donor newsletter, Open Door.
