The Open University Business School is providing African managers with globally recognised qualifications and expertise.
The Open University Business School's programmes allow students to study in their own locality while they continue working. The Open University Business School has students in more than 70 countries.
The programmes are available for study across Africa. These include the Masters in Business Administration, the Professional Certificate in Management and the Professional Diploma in Management and the BA Business Studies Programme.

Master of Business Administration
The Masters in Business Administration (MBA) is available throughout Africa and students can register directly with The Open University and join global learning groups. The MBA is designed for managers with several years of practical business and management experience.
In Ethiopia the MBA has been available since 1992 through a partnership between The Open University, The Ethiopian Ministry of Education, the British Council and Addis Ababa University. There are now over 300 MBA alumni in Ethiopia. The students work in local groups and can join online discussion forums with programme participants around the world.
Master of Public Administration
The Master of Public Administration (MPA) is a postgraduate qualification for managers aspiring to senior positions in public sector, voluntary organisations and social enterprises.‘Groups of public servants in Africa are studying together for the MPA as part of a diverse international student cohort.
Undergraduate Business Studies Programme
The Open University Business School’s BA Hons in Business Studies programme is available through partner centres in South Africa, Uganda and Botswana, with plans to expand into other African countries. This offers students in Africa the opportunity to participate in a community of learning with Open University students in Europe and to gain an OU award that they self fund or is sponsored by their employers.
