Specialist centres
Our specialist centres are a focus for collaborative research with African partners:
Development Policy and Practice (DPP) is an interdisciplinary centre for teaching and research into a wide range of issues surrounding international development;
The Ferguson Centre for African and Asian Studies promotes interdisciplinary research and academic exchange in the Humanities and Arts.
The Innovation, Knowledge and Development (IKD) research centre promotes interdisciplinary cross-faculty research in innovation and inclusive development.
Affiliated Research Centres
The Open University is partnering the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) to support research into malaria, and the Medical Research Council (MRC) Laboratories in Gambia, to support research into infectious diseases.
