Govroam service

Introduction to the govroam service

The Open University is a member of the govroam service (which stands for Government Roaming), a national Wi-Fi roaming service offered by Jisc for members of the UK public sector. The use of this network at The Open University is covered by our Computing Code of Conduct, which can be viewed on our computing guide.

Please note that we operate a ‘visited-only’ govroam service, meaning that while we advertise the network, our staff members cannot use it themselves.

The govroam network is available for members of the public sector across the Open University campus, its regional centres and nations.
