Commercial Director: Steve Hill
The role of Commercial Director is to drive the implementation and development of the University’s international strategy. Leading the Business Development Unit, the director will provide commercial insight to grow UK business-to-business activity and manage relationships with both private and public sector organisations and customers.
Chief Information Officer: David Matthewman
The role of the Chief Information Officer is to develop the University's systems, processes and technology to fully align with and support our strategy so that we can exploit new opportunities effectively.
Acting Director, Students: Christina Lloyd
The Acting Director, Students looks after the development, promotion and evaluation of services to students in support of the university's teaching, and the recruitment and retention of students. She is responsible for the development of relationships with students and tutors, through consultative and other mechanisms. She also manages the university's Student Services unit.
Finance Director: Miles Hedges
The Finance Director has responsibility for the university's budgetary control and financial matters, and the production of the university's financial statements and other financial reports. He is a Director of the university's subsidiaries and is also responsible for the overall running of the university's Finance Division, including all staffing matters.
Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic): Professor Musa Mihsein
The Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of the university's courses, study packs, programmes and awards. His role is to encourage innovation and change as well as to ensure that the existing curriculum continues to be refreshed.
Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching): Professor Belinda Tynan
The Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) oversees the development and implementation of new media in teaching support, the production and delivery of the OU's learning materials and resources, and quality assurance and enhancement processes. Her portfolio includes the Learning and Teaching unit (LT), Learning and Teaching Solutions (LTS), Library Services and the Open Media Unit (OMU), which has an important role in monitoring and expanding the University’s Open Educational Resources for informal learning on, for example, iTunes, YouTube and the OU’s own OpenLearn site.
Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research, Scholarship and Quality): Professor Tim Blackman
The Pro Vice-Chancellor Research, Scholarship and Quality is responsible for the strategic development of research and scholarship across the University's faculties and institutes, and the quality assurance and enhancement of the University's taught programmes.

University Secretary: Fraser Woodburn
The University Secretary is responsible for the effective governance of the institution, regulation and compliance, student fees strategy, student numbers planning and regulatory returns, managing the relationship with funding councils especially HEFCE, and ensuring that all of the administrative units are effectively managed and meet University objectives.
