Much is still to be done across the sector to address the persistent and extreme inequity of outcomes for Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) students.  Most HE institutions (HEIs) are just starting to explore and make plans, whilst a small few are further along the journey and have lessons and some successes to share.  This event informs on progress made in some initiatives to develop inclusive frameworks.

The Open University knows too well, as does the sector, the call to action by the Office for Students to eliminate inequalities in HE and we wish to share our practice, as a leading provider of flexible distance learning and learn from others within different contexts, to meet our ambitious Access and Participation Plan targets.  We hope this event will prove to be of some benefit for you.
