Health Education and Training (HEAT)

Every person, in every village everywhere, should have access to skilled, motivated and supported health worker.

Welcome to HEAT.

HEAT is a radical programme launched in early 2011 by The Open University with a bold ambition – to reach and help train thousands of frontline healthcare workers across sub-Saharan Africa.

By working in close collaboration with African Governments, NGOs and funding institutions, we believe that HEAT will transform access to healthcare in the region.

But we also believe that access to health workers is a basic human right, wherever you are. HEAT’s vision, and potential, is global. Watch our DVD to learn more.

Our website explains more about HEAT’s vision, how the programme works, and most importantly how you can help.
