| The courses are ideal
if you've never studied a language at all - or if it's
so long ago since you did that you're effectively starting
from scratch. No knowledge of the language is assumed
to begin with, but by the end of your chosen course
you will be able to speak and understand enough of the
language to help you if you visit, live or work in a
country where that language is spoken.
You'll also have reached roughly GCSE or O-level standard
and built a strong foundation on which to base further
study, if you wish. As well as developing your basic
speaking, writing and other communication skills, each
course will give you an introduction to the cultural
background of your chosen language.
