Room allocations

I know it seems like a grumble, but I’m now in the Parr room for the pedagogy talks. The Parr room is really quite nice and large, and cool. This is a great contrast to the pokey little room we had for the Learning through Gaming strand yesterday. This room today is not even half full, yet our room yesterday was overflowing with people sitting on the floor, and people who had booked were being turned away. I suppose it must be almost impossible to predict the takeup, but I’d have through that with a well-known name like Marc Prensky moderating the Gaming through Learning session, and projects involving second life, social networking and learning maths using handhelds on the bill, it might have been wise to provide a slightly larger room.
