GillI’m Gill Clough and I’m interested in technology, specifically mobile technology and GPS. I particularly like the way people subvert technologies and devise ways of using them which the designers hadn’t thought of. We started this blog back in 2007, when we were both studying for our PhDs at the OU. Much time has passed. We have both worked on a range of fixed-term contracts with the out and both, ultimately, succeeded in obtaining permanent positions as Research Fellows with the OU.

And I’m Rebecca Ferguson, the other author on this collaboratively run blog. Like Gill, I’ve completed my PhD at the OU – and I’m working as a research fellow on The Open University’s SocialLearn project. I’m interested in the ways in which people interact and learn together online and also, increasingly, I’m interested in the intersection between learning and happiness, enjoyment and delight.

  1. Would either or both of you be interested in talking about your work (completed, eg., dissertations) or current as part of CPsquare’s Research and Dissertation series? I think you would find interest and you’d enjoy it. 🙂
