I’m Gill Clough and I’m interested in technology, specifically mobile technology and GPS together with Web 2.0 social technologies. I particularly like the way people subvert technology and devise ways of using them which the designers hadn’t thought of.
I’m working as a researcher on the 3-year EU funded JuxtaLearn project. I’m based in IET, the Institute of Educational Technology, working with a diverse and interesting set of European Partners looking into addressing the problems presented by threshold concepts through the juxtapositioning of science learning with performance.
And I’m Rebecca Ferguson, the other author on this collaboratively run blog. Like Gill, I’ve just finished my PhD – and I’m also working as a research fellow on The Open University’s SocialLearn project. I’m interested in the ways in which people interact and learn together online and also, increasingly, I’m interested in the intersection between learning and happiness, enjoyment and delight.
