    Dear Dr Steven Hutchinson,
I am Krishna K Dixit from Wardha in Central India. Currently, we are working on English Teachers’ Clubs (ETCs) for empowering teachers of English language working in rural areas. I came to about this India One Million Project in my recent visit to Delhi (for participating in British Council’s Policy Think Tank Meeting about Continuing Professional Development of teachers). So I thought I should write to you about if I can participate in this project.

I wok as a lecturer in a small town in Central India and I have done M Ed (Trainer Development: ELT) from Marjon/University of Exeter on Hornby Trust/British Council Scholarship in 2006-07. I have 14 years experience of teaching at various levels and 5 years experience of teacher training.

I would be grateful if you could respond to this at your convenience.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Yours sincerely,

    Dear sir,

We found your programme very interesting and would be willing to collaborate in any possible way.

We are a startup from Delhi working on a concept called LAB IN A BAG and are trying to create a difference in science and technology education by creating technologies that will be affordable and accessible to masses. The new technology will help learning to take place anytime anywhere and will reach masses through MOOC, teacher training and other outreach programme.

We are planning to do one such outreach programme in the form of a free seminar ‘OPEN SOURCE TECHNOLOGIES FOR SCIENCE EDUCATION’ for Science teachers and principals within July in New Delhi. The seminar will cover following topics

    1) Challenges in Indian Education System (technology perspective)
    2) Problems and Remedies in Laboratory Education
    3) Gadgets to learn science & technology
    4) Learning Resources for Python and other open source platforms
    5) Open Laboratory Course ware Community

We are trying to find good orators to execute this programme. It will be a great privilege, if somebody from your end can be a speaker on any of the above topics.

Location: The space for this event has yet not been finalised and is expected to be closed within first week of July. Being a free event, this seminar will need a venue sponsor (i.e. free venue). Although we have already got open welcome from three schools in delhi (locations are Rohini, Mayur Vihar and Bahadurgarh) but we are rather looking for a space in central Delhi. The talks are on with couple of schools and the venue will be informed to you as soon as it will be finalised.

Date: Present tentative date for the event is July 19, 2014.

Candidate Participation: We are trying to reach every possible good school in Delhi NCR and have got some good responses already.
