Royal Navy Student of the Year awarded
This year’s Royal Navy Student of the Year award has been presented at a ceremony on board the flagship HMS Victory in Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard. Both the award and runner up prize were presented to officers studying Arts modules.

Award for research into OU and student-led societies
Dr Dan Weinbren, Research Fellow for the History of the OU project, was awarded a Society for Research into Higher Education (SRHE) Research Award of £10,000. This is enabling him to undertake a project which will consider the relationship between the OU and the student-led societies which have been created as a result of studying at the OU.
