Research student wins in ‘The Times’ Stephen Spender Prize 2011

Henry Stead, PhD candidate in the Department of Classical Studies, has won third prize in the prestigious The Times Stephen Spender Prize 2011, awarded for the original translation of poetry into English. The Stephen Spender Trust was established in 1997 to honour Stephen Spender’s achievements as poet and translator of poetry, and as champion of the rights of creative artists and writers to free expression.

Turner Prize awarded at Open Arts Archive partner gallery
