Winners’ prizes include laptops, internships and all-expenses paid trips to various destinations including New York, South America, Florida and South Africa.

Exploring Graduate Entry to Medicine

Medical careers are now open to a wider range of people than ever before.  Accelerated medical courses are designed specifically to train graduates with a non-medical degree as doctors.

This course will help you to find out about:

  • Specific degrees, by talking to admissions staff, course organisers and medical students
  • The major differences between the courses offered
  • How to fund your medical degree
  • Writing a successful application form and support statement
  • The various entrance exams schools use

The day will consist of:

> Presentations – from representatives of key medical schools

> Networking session – with admission tutors and staff

Summer Diversity Internship Programme (SDIP) offers high calibre and diverse students the opportunity to work in government departments for 6-9 weeks during the summer: long enough to give them real insight into the work of a civil servant and a Fast Streamer.  Interns are paired up with serving Fast Streamers, who act as mentors during the placement.

Applications for the 2012 summer internships will be accepted up until 3rd January 2012.
