Posted on Environment, Jobs, internships and work experience, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, Wales

A paid internship or placement is a great way to gain valuable work experience in a new role or industry, but if you’re lucky it could be more than that too. Amy is an OU Environmental Sciences student with just one module to go before she graduates. For the past year, Amy has been on a placement with the Field Studies Council in south Wales. Not only has Amy gained a massive boost to her CV, but she’s also gained some source material for her upcoming final project.

Watch the video below to discover the meaningful skills Amy is learning on her placement. You can find your own internship or placement on OpportunityHub or read this page to Grow your own internship.

Find out more about Amy’s internship in her last video. Watch out for her next video on our careers newsfeed.
