Open Access Monographs in THE

One of the speakers at our recent OUDH seminar “The Scholarly Monograph in the Age of Open Access,” Dr Rupert Gatti of Open Book Publishers, has been recently interviewed by Paul Jump for the Times Higher Education. During the interview, Dr Gatti reiterated his belief that

it was time for academics to “take charge” of the dissemination of their work, with universities setting up their own open-access monograph presses – possibly through their libraries

rather than “move at a pace dictated by established publishers”.
