Avid for Ovid – interview and events

Malcolm Atkins, Honorary Associate in the Music Department, has just been interviewed by the OU’s Classics Department about his work with Avid for Ovid, a group of performers who reinterpret ancient myth through dance and music. The interview is available here.

The group are next performing at the opening of a recreation of Ovid’s Garden in Winterbourne Gardens, University of Birmingham, on 18 June 2016 at 3pm (see the group’s Facebook page for details).

Malcolm will also be talking about his work with the group at the conference ‘Remaking ancient Greek and Roman myths in the twenty-first century’, which will take place at the Open University in London on 7 July 2016 (the programme is available here).
