Katia Chornik: After her PhD

Katia Chornik, who completed her PhD with the Open University’s Music and English departments in 2010, is now developing her research in Manchester. She’s moved on from her thesis on the role of music in the novels of Alejo Carpentier to take the post of Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Manchester University’s department of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies. She also holds the DSS annual Early-Career Research Fellowship, jointly awarded by the Association of Hispanists of GB and Ireland (AHGBI), and Women in Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies (WISPS).
