Professor Trevor Herbert will give a paper on ‘The militia and music: military musicians and Wales in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century.’ at the Mapping Welsh Music conference at the National Library of Wales on 25 February. The paper is one of the outputs of his AHRC-funded project on the influence of military culture on British music in the long nineteenth century.
