This week’s edition of the Times Higher Education Supplement contains an article by Rosemary Golding on the history of music in British universities. The article draws on research undertaken for Rosemary’s recently published book, Music and Academia in Victorian Britain. The debates discused in the article have some interesting parallels in modern problems of vocational and academic identity.

    I love reading about the history of Music, I find it endlessly interesting. Thank you for sharing.
    Learning the history allows some insights into the current trends within the music industry, in which I have worked for many years.
