Arosha Bandara is a Lecturer in Computing at The Open University, an appointment he has held since October 2006.  His research focuses on the area of self-managing (adaptive) systems, with a particular emphasis on the security and management challenges faced when building and deploying such systems. My approach is to combine rigorous formal techniques with concrete implementations and applications of those techniques to practical problems associated with building and maintaining self-managing systems.

Blaine Price is a Senior Lecturer at the Open University.  His research interests span the areas of Privacy, Data Protection and IT Law, aiming to enable people to more fully engage in networked interactions with businesses, public institutions, and other individuals. Some people avoid such interactions, over-estimating the risks to their privacy. Conversely, others engage in such interactions after making false assumptions about the security of their information.

Clara Mancini is a Research Fellow in Human-Computer Interaction, at the Computing Department of The Open University, UK.  Her research investigates how technology can mediate and shape new models of communication and interaction, supporting novel forms of connectedness, learning and cooperation.
One aspect of her work consists of exploring how technological contexts can convey meaning, by transforming signs, structures and patterns that underpin communication and interaction in naturalistic contexts, or by producing signs, structures and patterns that are uniquely afforded by specific technologies.
