Following a career of almost 25 years with American Express James has recently taken on a number of board and advisory roles for a range of institutions in the financial services sector. In 2011 he joined the board of Admin Re, a UK subsidiary of Swiss Re, where he sits on the Fairness and Audit and Risk Committees. He is also currently serving as an advisor to the executive of Hiscox UK. At American Express, as Senior Vice President, James was a member of the European Governance Board and held a number of senior international roles including Head of Customer Services, Europe and Head of Commercial Card, Europe a business that is recognized as the industry leader. Before joining American Express James spent seven years in the offshore oil industry. He has a BE from University College Cork, a MSc from University College London and a MBA for which he studied at Manchester Business School and New York University.
