The Open University Business School is delighted to announce its latest Business Perspectives Masterclass entitled ‘The Power of Trust’.

Join Professor Kirstie Ball with a host of experts including Ruth Sutherland Relate CEO, Ann Francke CEO at the Chartered Management Institute and from academia, Dr Diannah Lowry and Volker Patent from The Open University and Professor Ros Searle, Director of The Trust Hub at Coventry University.

This one day workshop is designed to give you new insight into how levels of trust in organisations can make a real difference to staff performance, the customer relationship and ultimately, the bottom line.

In this masterclass we will discover why trust is key to long term competitive advantage, learn how to repair and build trust, how to understand its dynamics in your own organisation, examine how trust can be built in the workplace and how the destructive consequences of mistrust and distrust can be avoided. We will explore the operational and cultural benefits of high trust workplaces and the difficulties faced in low trust workplaces, with a focus on trust building through roles and relationships and examine how trust can enable organisations to become more resilient. We will also hear about the latest research on trust in recruitment and selection and together we will debate whether trust can ever be managed.

The sessions will be delivered in a variety of formats with plenty of opportunities for participation.
