Morale is a commonly used term in business. Managers want high morale for their staff, generals for their armies and academics for their departments. Morale is thought to be a critical ingredient in business success. In spite of its importance there is surprisingly little research on morale. In this talk, Ben Hardy presents general principles of morale which are derived from hundreds of interviews and multiple surveys, and discusses what morale is and how to build it.
