The law degree offered by The Open University Law School is a major innovation in legal education. The law degree or LLB (Hons) we offer has been developed by two institutions of international standing. It is a Qualifying Law Degree (QLD) approved by the legal professional bodies, and we are confident that we will gain validation for our new degree.
The LLM is designed to explore a range of contemporary legal issues. Modules take an interdisciplinary and critical legal approach. The final module provides an opportunity for independent research. The skills developed by the LLM are highly sought after by employers.
You can start our LLM in May or November. Exploring legal meaning (W820) starts every November and Exploring the boundaries of international law (W821) starts in May. Business, human rights law and corporate social responsibility (W822) also starts in November.
Our law courses have been praised by senior judges, eminent lawyers and internationally acclaimed legal academics.
