Law student testimonial

I had previously worked in the security sector from the local to the international level. This took me on a journey from the Caribbean to America and Europe. I performed certain security duties and participated in local and national courts; International War Crime Tribunal and Administrative Tribunal. I undertook studies at the Master’s level and graduated with a PgD in the Study of Security Management with Leicester University.

During my tenure as a Security Officer, I was particularly impressed with the procedural aspect of how cases progress – but lacked the understanding of the law in theory. When I undertook the OU Law LLB Programme I was able to overcome my lack of understanding.  I was also able to build the confidence to bridge the gap between the theories and the practical reality. To this end, I must give credit to my Tutors and the manner in which the OU learning methods are structured.

Overall, the OU Law reflects the challenges one faces in the legal profession and the professional approach that you are expected to adopt to consistently perform to the best of your ability.

I would recommend the OU Law Programme to anyone who believes they have the discipline to advocate on behalf of the law.
