Ways to study Law at the OU

There are a variety of ways to study Law at the Open University:

General information

  • For information on cost and the modules that make up these qualifications, see our online prospectus.
  • You could include one or more law courses in your general OU degree (BA/BSc Open degree).
  • You could take one or more law courses, either if they provide you with expertise for your career, or for personal interest. See a list of all our individual courses in Law.
  • If you want a law degree (LLB (Hons) degree), you will need passes in the four compulsory law courses (for graduates) and a further 60 credits (for non-graduates) from W100, and 60 credits from other courses or from transferred credit. Read more about our LLB (Hons) and transferred credit.
